Privacy
Written from what the system actually does, not from a template. Every line below describes a specific behaviour of the equipment on the aircraft and the app on your device.
Alanhar Alkhamsa Company Ltd. (Five Rivers), Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Last reviewed 6 November 2026.
The short version
- The app has no account, no sign-up and no password.
- It contains no advertising, no analytics and no third-party trackers.
- What you watch is recorded on the aircraft as a count, not as a person.
- Nothing that identifies you leaves the aircraft.
- There is no internet in the cabin, so nothing could be sent anywhere during the flight even if the system tried to.
What the aircraft records while you watch
| What | Why | How long |
|---|---|---|
| Your device’s address on the cabin network | To send video to your screen and not somebody else’s. It is issued by the aircraft when you join and means nothing off it. | Until the aircraft is next restarted |
| Which channel is being watched, and by how many screens | So the crew can see the cabin is being served, and so an airline can tell which channels were worth carrying | Counts only; no record of which device watched what is kept after the flight |
| The kind of device — phone or tablet, and its make | To send video your device can decode, and to show the crew what is connected | Until the aircraft is next restarted |
| Seat number, and a mobile number if you give one | Only if the airline has switched sign-in on. Some operators ask for a seat so the crew can help you from the cabin. Where sign-in is off — the usual setting — neither is collected at all, and there is nothing to type. | Until the aircraft is next restarted |
Where it stays
On the aircraft. The equipment keeps these records in its own memory and files, and they are cleared when it restarts — ordinarily between flights. They are not uploaded, not backed up and not sold.
What reaches the ground
An aircraft reports to the operator’s own fleet portal over its satellite link, and what it sends about viewing is deliberately narrow: how many screens watched each channel, and the channel names. There is no address in it, no device, no seat and no identifier of any kind that could be traced to a person.
The same reports carry engineering information about the aircraft itself — whether services are running, how much bandwidth the satellite link carried, whether anything failed. None of it concerns passengers.
What the app stores on your device
- Your choice of light or dark, and which tab you last used.
- Whether you have dismissed the offer to add the app to your home screen, so that it does not ask again.
These stay on your phone, in the browser’s own storage for this app. Deleting the app or clearing its data removes them. Nothing about them is sent anywhere.
Children
The service is available to anyone in the cabin and asks for nothing about the person using it, so it collects nothing from children either. Where an airline switches on a children’s section, it changes which titles are listed and nothing about what is recorded.
Your rights
Because nothing identifying you is kept after the flight, there is in practice nothing to request or erase once you have left the aircraft. During a flight the crew can remove your device’s session from the system on request. If you believe something has been recorded about you and want it looked into, write to [email protected] with the flight and date and we will answer.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. Changes that affect what is collected will be described here rather than folded silently into new wording.
